Small Claims Coach is an independent guide for people who want to handle small claims court on their own. We turn public court information into plain-language steps: which court to use, where to file, and how to get ready for your hearing.
How the guides work
Each state guide is built from official court pages and links back to them, so you can check the current rules yourself. Limits, fees, forms, and deadlines vary by state and county and can change, so always confirm with your local court before you file. Playbook members also get a filled-in sample of their state's claim form, with a box-by-box guide (made-up case), and their state's Playbook section. Every state and DC has a sample; for Mississippi, Oklahoma and Wyoming it's a sample layout we made, so you'd get the real form from the court clerk.
